The grossing workstation is a core piece of equipment in the pathology laboratory, supporting the macroscopic examination and pre-diagnostic processing of tissue specimens. It is designed for the observation, measurement, dissection, and documentation of tissue samples submitted from biopsies and surgical procedures.
As a critical component in the front-end diagnostic workflow, the workstation ensures stable and efficient specimen handling. Its ergonomic structure and specialized features enable operators to accurately trim and isolate the most diagnostically valuable areas of the tissue, which are then used for subsequent processing steps such as dehydration, embedding, and sectioning.
By providing a standardized and precise grossing environment, the grossing workstation forms a reliable foundation for high-quality histopathological diagnosis.
